July 25th – Women in Medieval Lincolnshire by Nigel Burns. Nigel will present a fascinating insight to the lives of women in our county in medieval times. Their lives were much more restricted than they are today in terms of their legal rights, yet they managed to exercise considerable power and influence. Examples of lives of individual women from 12th and 13th century Lincolnshire are given throughout.
All talks start at 7.30pm in St Denys’ Church Rooms, off Market Place, Sleaford. Admission to talks is £1 for members and £3 for visitors. Refreshments will be served and there will be a raffle. We look forward to welcoming members and visitors to all these events. Click here to become a member.
